After my first trip overseas at the age of twelve and lots of traveling after that, I decided that I wanted to be in the travel industry. I began my career in 1985 and have loved every minute of it.
Before graduating from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, I lived in Heidelberg, Germany for a year while studying abroad. After graduating, I joined the Peace Corps and lived in Micronesia for two years.
I have traveled to so many beautiful places but my absolute favorite is Kauai, Hawaii. I go above and beyond for all of my clients and love hearing about their experiences on their travel adventures.

THE GOOD STUFF
What do you love the most about traveling?
I love meeting local people and learning about their culture — about their lives (jobs, food, traditions) and about the differences of their traditions verses our own traditions. The unique experiences I have had have given me a different view of the world and people in the world. It enriches my life, it shows me how different we can be, and at the same time how very much we are alike.
What was your favorite solo travel experience?
My solo trip to Botswana & Victoria Falls is one of the most amazing trips I have experienced. The daily game drives to a variety of areas in Botswana, the helicopter ride over the Okavango Delta to see all the animals below, to see the rhinos at the Stanley and Livingstone Private Game Reserve, plus staying at the Belmond lodges in Botswana in delxue tents. The Stanley and Livingstone Boutique Hotel in Victoria Falls really was quaint and charming. Once you go to Africa, you get this amazing feeling from the very kind and generous people and it encourages you to return back to experience more.
What is your favorite travel destination? What is the thing that no one should miss when they visit?
I love the Garden Isle of Kauai. It is lush — lots of hiking trails, kayaking down the Wailua River, horseback riding, drive to Waimea Canyon, Hanalei Bay, Princeville, famous Poipu Beach, blowhole in Poipu. I highly recommend Brennecke's Beach Broiler in Poipu for some amazing fresh fish and Lappert's Hawaiian Ice Cream is my favorite on the island.
Tell us about a travel experience that you'd highly recommend to ALL your clients. Or a favorite solo travel experience for a client.
I would highly recommend going to the Black Forest in Germany in the winter months as it is a very magical time of year. To see the snow covered mountains, to drive through the little and quaint towns which are very picturesque, and to visit the Christmas markets in some of the bigger towns (Heidelberg and Munich) is really a special experience.
