Melody Vincent

Melody Vincent is an entertainment travel agent with over 20 years of experience in the industry.

She was born in Texas, but has lived most of her life in Southern California. A love of music is what prompted her into the entertainment travel niche where she is dedicated to booking tours for music bands large and small. When booking tours she ensures that budgets are realistic and maintained; that hotel and car arrangements are suited to the traveler and that the tour manager has the information he/she needs to do their job on the road.

THE GOOD STUFF

Which songs are on your travel playlist?
• We Are Young - Fun feat. Janelle Mone
• Song 2 - Blur
• Feel Good Inc. - Gorillaz
• Valerie - Amy Winehouse
• Place in the Country - Adam Ant
• Down Under - Men at Work
• A Thousand Miles - Vanessa Carlton

What travel experience did you have that outdid your expectations and completely surprised you?

Montreal — it is the most culturally diverse place I have ever traveled. The people of Montreal were very friendly (I was lead to believe they are very rude) and greeted everyone with "bon jour" or "hello." If you answered "hello" they spoke to you in English, and "bon jour" got you a conversation in French.

What was your favorite solo travel experience?
Austin, TX. I was expecting the usual Texas local. I found a very cosmopolitan city where I didn't feel like I was in the South at all.

If you could have one meal again from a past travel experience, what would it be and why?
White queso and chips from Los Magueyes Mexican Restaurant in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Located in Burro Alley. Very flavorful queso without the heat of the chiles.

What is one of the most memorable experiences you have planned for a client?
I booked a villa for a client to North Island in the Seychelles. It's the only time I've had to inform a property of what my client's food likes and dislikes were, as they had to import certain foods to the island.
