What's your travel style?
I love adventure and trying new things. I love to take cooking classes when I can, and I always try to give back to the community if it's possible in the area I'm traveling, whether be it donating supplies or giving a few hours of my time volunteering. And in many cases doing both! I also love a good beach, an umbrella in my drink, and time set aside for the spa! We all need a little R&R!
What is your favorite travel destination? What is the thing that no one should miss when they visit?
My favorite destination is without question Africa. No one should miss a safari, which is of course what you go for. But if you're going to do South Africa, then don't miss a chance to go to the top of Table Mountain and explore the vast area, then take in the breathtaking views. You should also enjoy a day trip to the Cape of Good Hope — the most southwestern point of the African continent. You then must see Boulder Beach and the penguins on the drive back to Cape Town. It's a full day, but you'd be remiss if you were to miss out on such a beautiful drive and experience.
What is the most interesting souvenir that you have ever bought on one of your holidays?
In Botswana, I went to an elephant reserve and bought a special art canvas with the footprint of one of the elephants we walked with. Dipped in ink and then foot print on the canvas. It made for a special piece of art and a reminder of what an amazing experience it was.
What is one of the most memorable experiences you have planned for a client?
I had clients go to Italy and I booked them a VIP experience with Andrea Bocelli in Tuscany at the Theater of Silence — a unique open theater in the middle of the Tuscan hills. Following the concert, they had an exclusive dinner with Bocelli at his Villa. Being huge fans, this was something they had never dreamed could happen and said they'll never forget.
